Detailed Itinerary of the 4 Days Chimpanzee Trekking Tour
Day 1: Arrival and Transfer to Hotel
You arrive at the Entebbe Airport where you are welcomed by a company driver guide who takes you through a meet and greet session then after he shall transfer you around Entebbe Town precisely then later to your hotel for relaxation, Dinner and Overnight. Santa Maria Hotel.
Day 2: Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park
Breakfast in the morning then after proceed on journey to the North Western Part of Uganda at Murchison Falls National Park. You shall transfer for a period of 6 to 7 hours with en-route views of the green terrain, brief stop at the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary where you watch the Rhinos. You shall trek the Rhinos in their natural forest habitat for an hour. Take many photos to keep with a camera that has no flash. Afterwards, you shall proceed to Murchison Falls National Park. On reaching the Park, enjoy an en-route game drive watching many wildlife animals wandering around their natural habitat. The animals you watch include; lions, leopards, elephants, buffaloes, hippos, Nile crocodiles, Rothschild’s giraffe, small antelope, warthogs, bushbuck, waterbuck, duiker, topi etc. You shall proceed on transfer to check-in lodge for relaxation, Dinner and Overnight. Day 3: Chimpanzee Trekking at Budongo Forest Reserve
Breakfast then proceed to the Kaniyo Pabidi sector of Budongo Forest for an unforgettable chimpanzee trekking experience. You shall follow briefing from ranger guides then later embark on guided walk through one of East Africa’s largest mahogany forests searching for the habituated chimpanzee communities. The Trekking adventure lasts between 2 and 5 hours depending on the location of the chimpanzees in the forest. You shall watch the chimpanzees for an hour as they engage in feeding, grooming, playing and social interactions.
En-route, you shall watch other primates like the black-and-white colobus monkeys, red-tailed monkeys, blue monkeys, olive baboons and many bird species that make Budongo a renowned birdwatching destination. After the trek, return to the lodge for lunch and relaxation. In the afternoon, enjoy a nature walk, birdwatching excursion, or simply unwind while taking in the tranquil rainforest atmosphere. Day 4: Departure to Entebbe Airport
Breakfast in the morning then embark on transfer on departure to Kampala or Entebbe International Airport to board a flight back home.
