Detailed Itinerary of the 3 Days Budongo Chimpanzee Trekking Tour

Day 1: Arrival and Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park

You arrive at the Entebbe Airport where you are welcomed by a company driver guide who takes you through a meet and greet session then after he shall transfer you to the stunning Murchison Falls National Park. You transfer for a period of 6 to 7 hours enjoying views of the green terrain, bird species as well as en-route brief stop at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary where you trek and watch the Rhinos in their habitat. Afterwards, you shall proceed to the Park where you have an en-route Game Drive watching many wildlife animals. After a while, you shall continue to check-in lodge for relaxation, Dinner and Overnight. Pakuba Safari Lodge.

Day 2: Chimpanzee Trekking at Budongo Forest Reserve

Breakfast then proceed to the Kaniyo Pabidi sector of Budongo Forest for an unforgettable chimpanzee trekking experience. You shall follow briefing from ranger guides then later embark on guided walk through one of East Africa’s largest mahogany forests searching for the habituated chimpanzee communities. The Trekking adventure lasts between 2 and 5 hours depending on the location of the chimpanzees in the forest. You shall watch the chimpanzees for an hour as they engage in feeding, grooming, playing and social interactions.

En-route, you shall watch other primates like the black-and-white colobus monkeys, red-tailed monkeys, blue monkeys, olive baboons and many bird species that make Budongo a renowned birdwatching destination. After the trek, return to the lodge for lunch and relaxation. In the afternoon, enjoy a nature walk, birdwatching excursion, or simply unwind while taking in the tranquil rainforest atmosphere. Day 3: Departure to Entebbe Airport

Breakfast in the morning then embark on transfer on departure to Kampala or Entebbe International Airport to board a flight back home.
